We are urgently seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting and Admin Professional to join our dynamic team and take on a pivotal role in overseeing financial activities across multiple projects.
Role overview
As a Senior Accounting and Administrative Professional, you will primarily focus on supporting and managing accounting functions for construction projects while overseeing daily administrative tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate with project managers and teams on diverse projects within our organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of direct experience in accounting and bookkeeping (including a senior accounting role), with a strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred (or equivalent on-the-job experience).
- Proficiency in accounting software, with extensive experience in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights and transform raw data into easy-to-understand charts and reports.
- High attention to detail and accuracy to ensure precise financial reporting and data management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, recording all transactions properly and categorizing them.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to reflect financial data accurately in reports.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and drive revenue growth, and present findings and advise on strategic financial actions to management.
- Supervise junior administrative staff in coordinating with vendors and managing receipts, streamlining vendor communication and payment processing.
- Provide written project outlines and work breakdown structures for construction projects, outlining tasks and responsibilities for workers.
- Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for internal documents (some training will be provided).
- Assist in training the team on admin-related tasks.
- Moderate, expand on, and improve administrative forms and documents, as well as develop internal administrative processes for the operations team.
