THE POSITION
Location: Ubud, Bali
We are seeking a highly motivated Climate Communications Analyst or Senior Analyst to join Kopernik’s Community Initiatives team. The role involves gathering and interpreting data, conducting audience research, and offering insights on climate issues and policies to inform our climate communications strategies, as well as facilitating engagement and coordination with partner organizations to produce unified messages on climate action and renewable energy advocacy.
This position requires a detail-oriented, analytical, and collaborative individual who is passionate about climate and environmental issues, adept at amplifying climate narratives and action, and dedicated to advocating for policy reforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research and Content Development
- Conduct thorough research to gather information, statistics, policies, and data relevant to climate, renewable energy, and creative sectors in Indonesia.
- Collaborate closely with the Communications team to translate complex climate data and research into accessible and engaging content for diverse audiences.
- Monitor climate-related news and policies to produce high-quality, timely content across various channels.
- Stay updated on the latest climate science, policy developments, and communication trends to inform campaign messaging and strategies.
- Conduct audience research, surveys, and analysis to identify key insights and optimize communication tactics for maximum impact.
- Test and evaluate different messages to refine engagement strategies.
Partner Engagement
- Establish partnerships with like-minded organizations to co-create clear, specific climate messaging and calls-to-action.
- Organize regular partner meetings to define messaging priorities and calls to action.
- Engage with partners to distribute content through combined channels and platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage of climate-related stories.
- Craft press materials, pitch stories, and coordinate media interviews to amplify campaign messaging and impact.
- Participate in events, conferences, and public forums to promote unified climate messaging focused on specific policy reforms.
