Job Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef
- Have an experience minimum of 5 years as a CDP.
- Specialization in Western cuisines, especially breakfast cafe and bistro menus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Western culinary techniques, including baking and pastries.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to work hard.
- Fluent in English.
- Familiarity with the latest kitchen technologies, including advanced cooking equipment and kitchen management software.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Good time management abilities.
- Formal culinary education or relevant professional training will be advantages.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Coordinate kitchen staff activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Assist in designing, evaluating, and updating the menu. Ensure the quality and taste standards align with expectations.
- Train new kitchen staff and develop the skills of existing staff.
- Ensure all food ingredients are fresh and up to standards. Conduct regular checks for cleanliness and freshness.
- Manage inventory, order food ingredients, and ensure efficient ingredient usage to minimize waste.
- Ensure the kitchen and all cooking processes adhere to food safety standards and health regulations.
- Communicate with the service team to ensure food is presented as per guest requests and professionally address any feedback or complaints.
- Seek new inspiration for the menu and presentation, always striving to improve quality and menu variety.
- Assist in cost analysis of ingredients and production processes to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Stay updated with the latest culinary trends and adapt to changing customer tastes to offer a relevant and enticing menu.
