Job description for Mechanical Supervisor at PT VANDO TEKNIK SOLUSI
1. Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in mechanical or equivalent in related with Min. 5 years (S1) or 7 years (D3) experienced in Maintenance Activity
2. Valid License of Ahli K3 Umum or equivalent (POP)
3. Preferably understand the maintenance and troubleshooting of Mechanical Equipment Especially in Precious Metal Refinery
4.Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role
5. Proficient in operating Microsoft office.
6. Fluently both speaking and written in English.
7. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team.
8. In-depth understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the Precious Metal Refinery industry.
9. Project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
10. Have knowledge of maintenance strategy to optimize equipment maintenance tasks.
11. Have 6G welder certification will be a plus
12. Understand the maintenance and workings of HVAC, Pumps, allingment, maitenance and trouble shooting mechanical process machinaries.
13. Understand non destryctuve test.
14. Understand the application of infra red camera.
15. Have knowledge of conveyor belts and supporting equipment
16. For Gresik Domicile & surrounding areas will be a plus
17. Experience working in the smelter area is an added value
18. Can join ASAP
19. Have certification of ATEX Training will be a plus
Job Overview: As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment within your designated area or department. Your role involves leading a team of mechanical technicians, coordinating workflow, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and optimizing equipment performance. You will collaborate with other supervisors, engineers, and department heads to support operational efficiency and achieve production goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and manage a team of mechanical technicians, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and monitoring performance.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer feedback, and facilitate training and development opportunities for team members.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
2. Project Coordination:
Plan and coordinate mechanical maintenance and repair activities, including preventive maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades.
Allocate resources, manpower, and materials effectively to ensure timely completion of projects and tasks.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop strategies for optimizing equipment performance and reliability.
3. Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex mechanical issues and challenges.
Assist technicians in diagnosing equipment malfunctions, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions.
Review technical documentation, such as blueprints, schematics, and manuals, to support maintenance and repair activities.
4. Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to prevent accidents, injuries, and mechanical hazards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among team members through training, communication, and reinforcement.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, equipment specifications, and inventory.
Generate reports on project status, productivity, and performance metrics for management review.
Document incidents, near misses, and safety violations, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
6. Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other supervisors, managers, and departments to coordinate activities, resolve conflicts, and achieve organizational objectives.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Facilitate cross-functional communication and collaboration to support integrated maintenance and operational strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, repair, or supervision, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, components, codes, and standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems for project management and documentation.
