Job description for IT Support at PT. Istidata Indopacific Solution Centre
Responsibilities:
- Installing and configuring client computer systems.
- Responding to client IT support requests.
- Meeting with clients to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues.
- Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems.
- Offering solutions that meet the needs of the client.
- Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems.
- Maintaining good client relations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree. Preferably in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 24 months (2 years) work experience as IT Engineer.
- Good in English & Bahasa Indonesia, sufficient in conducting effective verbal and written professional business communication.
- Sound knowledge of: Network and server hardware and components, copper and fibre cabling systems, equipment racking and stacking (installation), installation and removal of field replaceable units (e.g. hard drive, memory, line cards, transceivers), network monitoring systems and usage, device and database backup & restore processes, troubleshooting and testing, network connectivity, also out of band management tools such as iLO and Drac systems.
- Have awareness of: Windows server, Unix operating systems, Command Line Interface (CLI) commands, Physical Storage and backup procedures (e.g. tape library systems), HVAC and UPS systems, Active Directory, Exchange, and Common Software applications.
- Other skills needed: Root cause analysis assistance, effective organizational skills and attention to detail, leadership and/or team experience, participate in the configuration and support of systems, adherence to assigned schedule, documented policies, procedures, processes, mantain knowledge levels as industry enhancements occur, support installation and implementation of connectivity and high-end systems products, continuous improvement of service delivery, and also have ability to juggle time and resources to meet or exceed expectations.
