Job description for Interior Quantity Surveyor at JEKO GROUP CO. LTD
Role and Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Accurately estimate costs for diverse interior items and analyse project documents to determine precise quantities and cost factors for each category.
- Quantity Take-off: Perform meticulous quantity take-offs from project specifications and calculate quantities for every project element, ensuring precision across all interior items.
- Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with specialized suppliers and subcontractors for all interior categories and secure precise pricing for materials and services, maintaining quality and timely delivery.
- Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Preparation: Develop comprehensive BOQs, incorporating quantities, specifications, unit prices, and total costs for all interior items, also ensure alignment with project details.
- Cost Analysis and Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering strategies for various interior items and collaborate with the project team to achieve quality within budget boundaries.
- Project Documentation: Maintain well-organized project documentation for all interior categories and keep cost estimates, BOQs, and related information updated and accessible.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with project stakeholders to synchronize BOQs with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and estimation techniques for all interior items and contribute to process enhancement and elevate estimation accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field. Additional certifications in cost estimation or project management are advantageous.
- Proven Experience: Relevant expertise as an Interior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor in interiors or construction, focusing on diverse interior items.
- Comprehensive Knowledge: Strong grasp of construction materials, finishes, and specifications for a range of interior items.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of cost estimation techniques, quantity takeoff software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Industry Awareness: Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and cost benchmarks for various interior categories.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, effective interpersonal skills for successful stakeholder collaboration.
- Time Management: Independent work capability, ability to manage multiple projects, and focused approach for all interior items.
