Job description for Head Baker – Viennoiserie at Moon Gypsy
We are looking for a Head Baker to join the team!
Responsibilities
- Prepare viennoiserie products – undertaking all aspects of the process, from weighing to mixing, shaping and baking, to ensure every product is of perfect quality and produced on time to meet daily production requirements.
- Ensure that company recipes and methods are followed at all times to meet established standards and ensure consistency across the production team.
- Work efficiently to meet the production schedule and assist colleagues in other areas as required so the daily orders are completed on time.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of viennoiserie products and techniques is a must
- A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Chef de Partie at same field
- Proven ability to motivate the team, supervised and leadership skills
- Ability to prepare high volumes of a range of products ensuring consistency and maintaining the highest standards of quality
- Good knowledge and understanding of health and safety and food hygiene, with the proven ability to implement and maintain impeccable standards
- Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills, with the ability to multi- task
- Experience of working as part of a team and excellent team working skills
- Flexibility to cover shifts as required
