Saltlick is a new concept of fine dining steakhouse restaurant develop by the creator of KUDETA.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Chef de Partie (Pastry) to join our esteemed culinary team in a fine dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pastry arts, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality desserts and baked goods that delight our guests. As a CDP (Pastry), you will play a critical role in the kitchen, working closely with the Head Pastry Chef to ensure the delivery of exceptional desserts and confections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and Production: Prepare, produce, and present high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes.
- Menu Development: Assist in the development and creation of new dessert menus, bringing innovative ideas and seasonal ingredients to the table.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistency and excellence in the quality and presentation of all pastry items. Conduct regular taste tests and quality checks.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of pastry ingredients, ensuring freshness and availability. Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
- Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment. Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Training and Development: Train and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment. Provide guidance and feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff and departments to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Assist with special events and functions as needed.
- Cost Management: Assist in managing food costs and minimizing waste through effective planning and utilization of ingredients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie (Pastry) or similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
- Culinary degree or certification in pastry arts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation.
- Creativity and innovation in dessert and pastry creation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
