Jobs Description of an ATV Mechanic include:
- Diagnosing mechanical problems using computerized diagnostic equipment

- Replacing or repairing defective parts of the ATV
- Conducting test rides to ensure that the ATV is functioning correctly

- Inspecting ATVs for safety and performance issues
- Keeping the workspace clean and organized
- Staying up-to-date with the latest ATV models and their features
- Ordering necessary parts and tools for repairs and maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test ATVs to identify any faults or malfunctions
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of ATVs
- Adjust and align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and attach system components
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment, using hand tools, power tools, or gasoline or air-powered cleaning equipment
- Order parts from suppliers, as required
- Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used
- Provide customer service and answer questions about the maintenance and repair work
Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as an ATV Repair Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of ATVs
- Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
