MapHubs is a purpose-driven startup, specializing in rainforest monitoring. We are headquartered in Brooklyn NY and Arlington VA, USA with an office in Jakarta, Indonesia. We provide deforestation monitoring software and support services to major commodity companies, international environmental organizations, and government agencies. We work in all major rainforest regions and our technology has been helping industry leading companies from Indonesian palm oil growers and traders to Fortune 500 companies address illegal and unsustainable deforestation in their supply chains.

We are growing our team to support our groundbreaking palm oil supply chain monitoring system, Palmoil.io (https://palmoil.io). Palmoil.io provides deforestation and supply chain monitoring from plantations to global commodity markets. Palmoil.io supports market leading companies, watchdogs, and media companies. The platform has an extensive database of over 10,000 palm oil plots (e.g., concessions, estates, plantations, etc), 2,160+ mills, and 450+ processing facilities. It also contains an extensive grievance database collected from company trackers that is updated every month as well as news stories. Palmoil.io uses proximity and group ownership to estimate supply chain relationships and link deforestation events to suppliers and their customers. We also collect and process palm mill lists to track supplier/buyer relationships.

Our US and Indonesia staff work closely together by meeting multiple times a week and chatting on Slack. As a small team we like to offer our employees opportunities learn new things and grow in their careers.
