Drone Pilot Assistant Job Scope
Pre-flight Preparation: Assist in pre-flight checks, including inspecting the drone, ensuring batteries are charged, and verifying the functionality of all equipment.
Flight Operations: Assist the drone pilot in operating the drone during flights, which may involve controlling the drone's movements, monitoring telemetry data, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
Data Collection: Help with data collection tasks, such as capturing aerial images or videos, conducting surveys, or gathering other types of data using the drone's capabilities.
Safety and Compliance: Maintain awareness of airspace regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures. Assist in ensuring that flights are conducted safely and legally.
Equipment Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and servicing drone equipment, including cleaning, calibrating, and troubleshooting technical issues.
Data Processing: Assist in processing and analyzing data collected by the drone, which may involve using software tools to create maps, 3D models, or other outputs from aerial imagery.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of flights, data collected, maintenance activities, and any incidents or issues encountered during operations.
Communication: Coordinate with other team members, clients, or stakeholders to communicate flight plans, share data insights, and provide updates on project progress.
Training and Development: Continuously learn and improve skills related to drone operations, safety protocols, data analysis, and other relevant areas. Assist in training new drone pilots or team members as needed.
Job requirement:
- Able to carry trimble X7 3D scanning system equipment
- Able to work on weekend or odd hour (twice a month)
- Be physically fit
- Able to work well with drone pilots
- Minimum diploma holder or equivalent
