Maukerja Indonesia was launched in 2018 as part of the regional expansion of Agensi Pekerjaan Ajobthing Sdn Bhd.
The parent company, founded in 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as Brightan System, is an end-to-end recruitment solutions provider. Its signature product, the Maukerja job portal, was also created in 2013 to serve blue-collar and non-executive workers - ~36% of the workforce - who were underserved by English-focused, executive-oriented portals.
Maukerja Indonesia adapted this model for Indonesia: a Bahasa Indonesia platform for mass-market hiring, employer branding, and career support, built by an 11-50 person team with a casual yet professional culture.
Core focus: F&B, Retail, Hospitality, Manufacturing, BPO, Sales & Marketing, Admin/HR, Customer Service, and other high-turnover non-executive segments.

Maukerja Indonesia describes its culture in two words: Casual and Professional.
As the Indonesian arm of Malaysian HR-tech startup A Job Thing, it operated as a small startup team [11-50] with a mission-driven mindset: to help jobseekers, workers, and employers solve real hiring problems.
