General Description of Digital Labs
With our business partners, we prepare Evonik to be ready for Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Digital Labs aims to embed AI and automation into different functions and processes within the company. With the goal, to develop internal Know-How to accelerate Digitalization and Automation across Evonik globally.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, Product Design, Visual or Graphic Design
- Basic understanding of user-centered design concept based on HCI
- Basic understanding of wire-framing, and prototyping tools such as Figma or Sketch or the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Xd, Photoshop, Illustrator) would be good
- Visual Design skills including typography, desktop/mobile UI, colour, layout, iconography and aesthetic sense would be good.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in presentation and documentation
- Detail oriented
- A genuinely collaborative attitude
- Independent way of working
Opportunities:
- Working with UX design team for current projects by contributing to different aspects of design including need-finding, user research, prototyping, interaction design, and visual design
- UX research by moderating remote and in-person qualitative studies to understand users’ wants and needs.
- Analysing the research insights to determine new connections that will inform the creation and optimisation of the UX.
- Producing Design flows and visuals: user-centric design solutions
- Coordinating to rapidly iterate/refine design work based on user feedback, tech constraints, business needs and creative directions.
- Empathising to understand the perspective of users and other stakeholders
- Conducting heuristic evaluations.
