- Job descriptions:
- Assist International Vets on daily clinical operations, including but not limited to, surgery, treatment, and diagnosis.
- Restrain animals during consultation, treatment or in any instances that require such.
- To collect basic information like vital parameters such as heart rate, respiratory rate, temp, etc.
- Hold animals for x-ray or ultrasound examination.
- Collect urine or faeces for diagnostic purposes
- Prepare, clean and autoclave surgical kits
- Monitor anaesthesia during surgery or any procedure that requires anaesthesia.
- Monitor animal's condition during hospitalization and report to the attending vet.
- Fill out a monitoring chart or hospitalization sheet for animals.
- Administer treatment to pets upon the order of the Senior Vets.
- Make sure fluid catheters are patent for patients on IVFT.
- Promote sanitation and help in promoting health of hospitalized pets.
- Clean cages, treatment room, and surgery room for the next patients.
- Provide food, clean water and bedding or cat litter to patients.
- Clean patients.
- Promote sterility during surgery or any procedures.
- Walk patients for therapy or when they need to go to the bathroom.
- Do translation for Senior Vets and for Vietnamese clients during consults or any event that requires such.
- Responsible for filling out stock in the clinic like syringes, needles, catheters, etc.
- Also responsible to check stocks and relay to the proper person for ordering.
- Make sure hospital properties are clean and promote optimization of their use.
- Make calls to clients upon the order of Senior Vets to update patients.
- Do grooming and bathing of dogs and cats.
- Answer calls during out of hours and relay to Senior Vets and assist them if there are emergency cases.
- Any other tasks related to assisting Senior Veterinarians.
