Job description for Technical Support Engineer at SIMANTEK

Technical Skills

  • Good understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewall, and internet connectivity.
  • Experience troubleshooting web applications, APIs, databases, and server-related issues.
  • Familiarity with MySQL, REST APIs, Postman, and basic SQL queries.
  • Basic knowledge of Docker, web servers (Nginx/Apache), and cloud environments is an advantage.
  • Ability to analyze application logs, identify issues, and escalate complex problems to the development team.
  • Experience using ticketing systems and documenting incidents professionally.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered support tools and the ability to utilize AI to improve troubleshooting, documentation, knowledge management, and customer support efficiency.

Language Skills

  • Able to communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in shifts when required.
