Position Summary Type of employment Short-term, paid Working with: Students aged 9-16 Time: 7 AM – 7 PM Date: Hanoi: December 1, 2019
Ho Chi Minh City: January 12, 2020 Language used: English Primary function: In this role you will work alongside GPA Camps staff to escort a team of 6 students through the race. You will gain valuable leadership experience. You will be responsible for the well-being of your participants as well as promoting healthy competition.
Who are we looking for? The applicant must:
● Be older than 18.
● Be excellent in English both oral and written.
● Have good physical strength and endurance.
● Be enthusiastic, positive, creative, responsible, organized, and love to work with children and teens.
● Be willing to embrace challenges and step out of the comfort zone.
● Have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team in English.
● Have the ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently and to think and act creatively on the go.
● Commit to work throughout the duration of the program.
● Commit to participate in training days.
● Be punctual to all camp related activities
What will your main duties and responsibility be?
● Serving as a positive role model for youth.
● Encouraging student participation, and providing information to students regarding activities in English.
● Attending the training and planning weeks before the camp session begins.
● Taking responsibility for the safety of students in emergency situations, and reporting any issues or problems to the superior.
● Act as big brother or sister.
● Performing related duties as assigned.
Preferred
● Scouting or outdoors background.
● Experience in managing group of 10 people.
● Passion for enriching and innovating educational experiences.
● Understanding of how to work with children and teenagers.
● Good leadership skills.
● Proactive, problem-solving, well-organized - Work smart!
● First Aid Certified.
