It's an amazing time to be joining Loship as we continue to transform Hyperlocal Ecommerce in Vietnam. We’re looking for a Sourcing Manager in HCMC to join our Loship Team. Our team consists of young but experienced individuals who are tenacious and energized by the fact that we exist to make a social impact in Vietnam. Loship is more than a Food delivery App.
We use data and technology to deliver everything from Local Merchants via 2-wheel drivers across a country of more than 95 million people. Working with governments, drivers, passengers, and the community, we aim to unlock the true potential of the region by solving problems that hinder progress.
Loship, originally starting with Lozi, began as a food app in 2014, but has extended into 1-hour delivery Ecommerce App, focusing delivering every items within 60 minutes. Our only focus is: Offering every items delivered to your home within 60 minutes. Currently we offer 11 services in Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Danang & Cantho.
Get to know the Role:
Your mission is to supply Every wholesale Products for Merchants.
- Understand Merchants needs in term of wholesale Products.
- Source new products.
- Ensure appropriate/workable T&A and WIP are in place for smooth order execution.
- Understand suppliers capabilities, capacity and performance, Plan factory visits to monitor production and assess factory capacity.
- Use in-depth understanding of component pricing to provide cost saving opportunities.
- Actively participate in order placement decisions.
- Lead sourcing initiatives/projects with cross functional partners.
- Provide coaching/guidance to subordinates on sourcing activities.
- Analyze and report on Supplier related performance data

Your KPI is to offer 10.000 SKUs on Lo-supply.
Get to know your Day-to-day activities:
- Manage T&A, track for timely execution of orders, and proactively identify potential product/ production issues.
- Identify and resolve product spec issues upfront, distribute product spec to designated suppliers
- Partner with Cross functional teams as needed to achieve quality, price and delivery requirements.
- Ensure suppliers quotations and samples are completed within required timelines.
- Ensure order placement and execution meets expectations on capability, capacity, quality and delivery performance.
- Maintain performance data of each supplier on a regular basis & determine actions to address any concerns.
- Travel to factories and provide feedback on factories/suppliers capacity and technical abilities to support the market requirements
- Compile relevant business reports and recaps to better understand and manage the business.
- Manage the buying trip from A-Z including pre-trip, itinerary set up, cost negotiation to finalization to ensure the trip objectives are fully achieved.
- Provide insight on product reengineering opportunities and value unlock solutions to current products that improves product and lowers cost.
- Coordinate and validate any new factory requests from suppliers.
- Assume additional responsibilities and perform special projects as needed or directed.
Get to know Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of suppliers and factories. Able to evaluate suppliers competence and capability.
- In-depth knowledge & understanding of construction & production capability.
- Able to identify creative alternative solutions to solve problems.
- Highly motivated with high sense of urgency, good interpersonal skill, patience, analytical skill, proactive & takes ownership.
- Ability to train subordinates to work independently.
- Able to manage multiple projects/tasks in an organized manner to meet on-time objectives.
- Team player with ability to work with associates from different cultures.
- Good negotiation skills in working with suppliers on product and price.
- Excellent command of English and local language.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Deep Understanding of production and manufacturing knowledge.
