Gobble is the Singapore headquartered group-buying food app for Asia Pacific. We’re out to conquer all university campuses across the region with a fun and discounted food ordering app based on your friend’s recommendations, and we’ve got top-tier VC backing us already!

About the Role

As a Full Stack Engineer at early stage Gobble, you need to be a problem solver who can propose creative and time-bound solutions. You will architect highly-performant, reliable, scalable applications to be used by hundred of thousands of external customers every day. During Covid19, we have accelerated to build a complete meal ordering experience for customers. You will have an outstanding opportunity to build a premier and first of its kind app for users and restaurants. You will work closely with our CEO and COO, and eventually CTO - to build personalized customer care experiences. At Gobble, we have a high bar for quality & efficiency - you will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Business Operations teams to build for scale at an early stage, yet solutions focused on providing delightful customer experiences. The team is focused on high business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Work on services / features that are very close to the business
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
• Collaborate with and learn from engineers, foster our speed-oriented culture in them, and help to cultivate a growing team.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 2 years of software engineering experience
• Experience coding with React Native, C++, C#, Java, Python, or Go (at least 1 required)/ Designing and developing APIs.
• Experience developing web applications and good understanding of JavaScript
• Strong problem solving and coding skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years experience
• Extensive knowledge of Javascript, CSS, HTML, API and Thrift is preferred
• Experience creating high-quality product features on schedule
• Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics, or related field
• Experience building large scale distributed software systems.
• Experience with web application development frameworks such as NodeJS, React, Redux or similar
