Job description for Security Administrator at eVantage Technology Pte Ltd
- Day to day support & response to clients’ queries and support issues
- Promote innovative or improved methods to get the work done and implements best practices
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and stakeholders using a variety techniques and collaboration, from initiation to close
- Install, administer and troubleshoot IT security solutions
- Update software with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are present for eVT internal and clients’ systems
- Perform vulnerability tests; identify and defend against threats and develop disaster recovery plans
- Configure security systems; analyze security requirements and recommend improvements
- Monitor security logs and network traffic for suspicious behavior
- Create network policies and authorization roles and defend against unauthorized access modifications and destruction
- Consult with staffs, managers, and management about the best security practices and provide technical advice
- Configure and installation of security tools, such as firewalls, IPS/IDS, SIEM and antivirus software
- Administration of Cyber Security Awareness Training (CSAT) schedules and portal for CSAT
- Creation of CSAT report on a regular basis to CSAT clients
- Upkeep and creation of Security Standard Operation Procedures and Security related documentation
- Outstanding customer service and stakeholder management skills
- Prioritize, multi-task and manage time effectively
- Possess strong leading and/or mentoring skills
- Must be adept at problem solving
- Nurture a positive working environment among the staffs
- Able to perform despite tight schedule and under pressure
- Comfortable working with cloud-based technology
- Good command of English
- Strong technical hands-on skills
- Strong networking configuration and troubleshooting experience (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless set up and VPN)
- Operating systems (Linux, Windows, etc)
- Gather, interpret and analyze information
- Knowledge in security programs
- Good computer skills (Outlook / Excel / Word / Powerpoint)
- Min. 1-2 years of relevant working experience
- Willing to work after office hours if required
- Prior experience of leading and/or mentoring a team of engineers is highly desirable
- Possession of Microsoft MCSA, MCSE (Messaging) and CCNA certification is an advantage
