Job description for Sales Team Lead (English Speaker) at Algonova
About the role:
This is a hands-on leadership role combining sales leadership, coaching, performance management, and operational coordination. You'll work closely with Sales, Tutor, and Operations teams to identify performance gaps, improve processes, and help the team achieve its targets.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and support a team of Trial Class Managers / Education Sales Consultants
- Monitor team KPIs including trial volume, conversion, revenue, and attendance
- Conduct regular coaching, 1:1s, role plays, and performance reviews
- Review trial class and sales performance and provide actionable feedback
- Coach consultants on consultative selling, parent engagement, and objection handling
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Identify performance gaps and create improvement plans
- Coordinate with Operations and other teams to resolve scheduling and customer issues
- Analyze performance data and implement initiatives to improve conversion and revenue
About you:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, education, customer success, customer service, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in leading, supervising, or coaching a customer-facing/sales team
- Experience in education sales, EdTech, tutoring, or children's education is a strong advantage
- Excellent English communication skills (mandatory)
- Bahasa Melayu fluency is highly preferred
- Strong consultative sales and coaching skills
- Comfortable working with KPIs, performance data, and targets
- Experience using CRM systems and reporting/performance management platforms
- Comfortable analyzing data and using performance insights to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Familiarity with the Malaysian market and parent/customer behavior is preferred
- Highly organized, proactive, accountable, and target-driven
- Comfortable working in a fully remote environment

- 100% remote, work with a global EdTech company operating across 90+ countries
- Compensation: basic salary IDR 7,000,000 - 8,000,000/month + performance-based bonus
- Operating Hours:
Weekdays: 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM Malaysia Time
Weekends: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM Malaysia Time - Your availability may be required during weekends and peak operating hours
