WildBrain CPLG, ASIA is looking for a Category Manager to join our team! Reporting to VP, APAC, you will plan, develop and implement commercial strategies based on your company targets and objectives by supporting and accelerating growth with current and potential clients. Commercial Managers are expected to add value to the company by demonstrating exceptional sales abilities along with creating an environment of integrity, commitment and trust.
• Be the main commercial contact for all businesses (all brands & categories) across a defined geographical remit in SEA (specific markets to be agreed).
• Together with the regional VP set and execute the Company’s licensing and retail strategies and review quarterly in Cycle planning meetings.
• Collaborate closely with Business Development and Brand Ambassadors to drive company direction to significantly increase brand licensing revenue.
• Prepare and exceed annual forecasts through managing a portfolio of category accounts.
• Maximise use of Oasis platform
• Contribute as a key member of a well-integrated sales team and support and encourage personal development.
• Identify, negotiate, and secure suitable licensees, in accordance with agreed licensor strategies
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with licensees, licensors, partners and retailers (where appropriate).
• Working with Global and Regional Product Development, overseeing the PD process, balancing licensors creative requirements with commercial constraints.
• Work closely with key licensees and the Regional Retail & Marketing to ensure strong retail distribution and identify and secure cross-promotional retail activity.
• Conduct business reviews for Licensors and internal CPLG management to consistently high standards.
• Collection of relevant market information, identifying market opportunities.
• Continuously strive to identify and secure new licensees that have not worked with CPLG.
• Providing information to assist in marketing and sales plans.
• Supervising contract realization.
• Feedback on the progress and outcome of the commercial efforts.
• Visit trade fairs at home and abroad as appropriate.
