Job Title: Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. The ideal candidate will design and execute comprehensive test plans, implement automated test scripts, and collaborate closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and specifications to develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual testing (functional, regression, integration, UI/UX, and user acceptance testing).
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure thorough test coverage.
- Conduct API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and release reviews in Agile environments.
- Optimize testing processes and contribute to QA best practices and automation strategy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in software testing with expertise in both manual and automation testing.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
- Proficiency in automation tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation.
- Familiarity with API testing and database validation (SQL).
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration with automation tests (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- QA certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent.
- Experience with mobile testing (iOS/Android) and cross-platform automation.
