Job description
We are looking for a Proposal Engineer with a strong background in Automation Systems to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposals, analyzing customer requirements, and delivering accurate and competitive automation solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for automation system projects (PLC, SCADA, DCS, Safety System, DEH, etc).
• Review and analyze inquiry, RFQ or tender documents: specifications, drawings, scope of work, scope of supply and technical requirements.
• Develop cost estimates including BoQ, material list, shipment cost, and engineering cost calculation.
• Design preliminary solutions: system architecture, hardware selection, and communication topology.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement/logistic, technical consultant, finance and sales teams to ensure proposal accuracy.
• Able to understand commercial and delivery terms
• Able to identify project risk and mitigation
• Conduct technical presentations and clarifications with clients when required.
• Support negotiation processes and tender evaluations.
Requirements:
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Proposal Engineer or Cost Estimator in automation.
• Understanding of Hardware, Software, Network Topology and industrial communication (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) used for Automation System.
• Familiar with project costing, estimation, and tender processes.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (PPT, MS Word, Excel), Viso, etc
• Fluent in English (both oral and written) is a must
Additional Advantages:
• Experience preparing proposals for Oil & Gas, Mining, Power Plant, or Manufacturing projects.
• Knowledge of HollySys Automation Product
