Job description for Pastry Chef at Dear Butter

Requirements :

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pastry and dessert production
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredient handling
  • Highly creative and detail-oriented with excellent plating skills
  • Able to lead a small team and manage daily kitchen operations
  • Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
  • Experience in recipe development and menu innovation is a plus
  • Previous experience in hotel or premium restaurant is preferred

Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for all mise en place for salad and dessert menus
  • Develop variations and conduct R&D for salad and pastry menus
  • Maintain consistency in all salad and dessert menu items
  • Ensure all products meet company standards and SOPs
  • Uphold food safety standards and maintain kitchen hygiene
  • Work closely with Head Chef and management for kitchen planning
