Role Overview:
The Head of Human Resources is responsible for building, executing, and continuously optimizing the HR strategy in Vietnam, ensuring strong alignment between business objectives, operations, and people. This role is designed for a leader with a solid HR Business Partner (HRBP) foundation, strong knowledge of Rewards/Compensation, and hands-on experience in fast-growing environments. The ideal candidate is someone who can build people systems while maintaining effective daily operations, and who is passionate about driving People & Culture, performance, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Direction:
- Develop and implement an HR strategy that supports the company’s growth objectives in Vietnam and aligns with overall business priorities;
- Design and continuously improve the HR operating model, covering HRBP, People Operations, Talent & Culture, and Rewards;
- Actively participate in leadership decision-making related to organization design, workforce planning, and people investment.
2. HRBP & Organization Development
- Design and establish the HR Business Partner (HRBP) model aligned with business structure and growth priorities;
- Act as the senior HRBP for key functions and leadership team during the initial phase;
- Gradually build, train, and scale the HRBP capability as the organization grows.
- Partner closely with leaders to address organizational challenges, including workforce planning, performance effectiveness, leadership capability, and team structure;
- Use people data and business insights to propose practical, scalable HR solutions.
3. People & Culture
- Lead culture-building initiatives aligned with company values and a people-first mindset;
- Develop employee engagement and internal communication programs that strengthen connection, trust, and long-term commitment.
4. Rewards & HR Effectiveness
- Oversee compensation, benefits, and reward frameworks to ensure competitiveness, internal equity, and sustainability;
- Optimize core HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, performance, offboarding, HR operations) to improve efficiency and employee experience;
- Partner with Finance and business leaders to manage workforce costs, budgeting, and productivity.
5. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations in Vietnam, including compliance with local labor laws and regulations;
- Handle complex employee relations matters and provide practical guidance to the management team;
- Act as the key connector between HR and business teams to ensure agile and responsive people operations.
Requirements:
1. Experience & Expertise:
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 4–5 years in senior roles such as HRBP Lead, HR Manager, or Head of HR.
- Proven experience managing HR in medium-sized or scaling organizations, preferably in technology, service, platform, or fast-paced environments.
- Strong expertise in HRBP, performance management, rewards/compensation, organizational development, and employee relations.
2. Core Capabilities:
- Strong ability to build systems while running operations in parallel;
- Proven leadership in driving change, strengthening culture, and improving organizational effectiveness;
- Business-oriented mindset with strong analytical and people data interpretation skills;
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior leaders;
- Experience leading and developing multi-functional HR teams.
