Job description for Finance & Accounting Manager at Kalbis Institute
Finance & Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all financial operations of the school, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance with government and tax regulations.
This role ensures that financial processes run accurately, transparently, and in accordance with approved policies, while also supporting management in financial decision-making and project evaluation.
B. Duties, Functions and Responsibilities
1. Financial Control & Compliance
- Assist the Comptroller in monitoring and maintaining effective internal control processes.
- Ensure the implementation of approved financial policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with government regulations and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to the Indonesian Tax Office and other regulatory bodies.
2. Financial Reporting
- Review and finalize the school’s financial statements before submission to the Comptroller, CFO, School ACOO, and COO.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
3. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare the school’s annual budget.
- Monitor and analyze actual expenses versus the approved budget.
- Provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
4. Accounts Management
- Manage Accounts Receivable and ensure efficient collection of payments.
- Review requests for disbursements or payments to ensure the validity, completeness, and accuracy of supporting documents.
5. Cash Flow Management
- Monitor and manage the school’s cash flow to ensure sufficient funds for operational needs.
6. Payroll & Operational Finance
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for employees.
- Manage the purchasing process related to school operational needs.
7. Audit & Project Evaluation
- Manage and coordinate internal and external audits.
- Assist the School ACOO/COO in evaluating projects from a financial perspective.
8. Team Management
- Manage and supervise the School Accounting Team to ensure effective performance and compliance with financial standards.
