About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Event Management Executive (Special Projects) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of events and field activities across the Mekong Delta region. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working with multiple stakeholders, and is comfortable traveling to rural project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute workshops, training sessions, and special project events
- Manage event timelines, logistics, and on-site coordination
- Ensure smooth execution of events in both urban and rural settings
- Source, liaise, and manage vendors (venue, catering, logistics, printing, etc.)
- Negotiate pricing and ensure quality delivery of services
- Coordinate with local partners, institutions, and community groups
- Travel to project locations (Mekong Delta provinces) approximately once per month
- Oversee event setup, participant management, and troubleshooting during events
- Prepare post-event reports including attendance, feedback, and insights
- Handle documentation, procurement, and internal coordination
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in event management or project coordination
- Proven experience in vendor management and event execution
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Good communication skills in Vietnamese and English
- Comfortable with frequent travel to provinces (approximately once per month)
- Ability to work independently and handle on-ground challenges
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on community-based projects or event organising
- Familiarity with the Mekong Delta region is an advantage
- Experience in agriculture, aquaculture, or development projects is a plus
