We are looking for a passionate and skilled AI Computer Vision Engineer to join the SotaVision core team. You will work directly on the development, training, deployment, and optimization of computer vision models and pipelines for real-world manufacturing inspection use cases. This is a high-impact, product-focused engineering role where your work ships directly to production environments at client factories.
- Design, train, and optimize deep learning models for image classification, object detection, instance segmentation, and anomaly detection.
- Develop custom vision pipelines for manufacturing defect detection (surface defects, dimensional inspection, assembly/PBC/SMT verification).
- Build and maintain high-quality annotated datasets; define and enforce data labeling standards.
- Conduct model evaluation, A/B testing, and continuous performance improvement.
- Develop real-time inference pipelines with low latency requirements on GPU/edge hardware.
- Integrate computer vision modules into SotaVision's production platform (REST/gRPC APIs, stream processing).
- Work with hardware teams to deploy on edge devices (NVIDIA Jetson, industrial cameras, PLC/SCADA integration).
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- Strong proficiency in Python; experience with C++ is a plus.
- Deep hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow for model training and deployment.
- Solid understanding of modern CV architectures: CNNs, Transformers (ViT, DETR), YOLO variants, Segment Anything Model (SAM), etc.
- Experience with OpenCV, Albumentations, and standard image processing techniques.
- Familiarity with MLOps tools: MLflow, DVC, Weights & Biases, or similar.
- Experience with model optimization and deployment: ONNX, TensorRT, OpenVINO, or TorchScript.
- Understanding of camera systems, image acquisition, and industrial vision hardware is advantageous.
- Familiar with Git workflow, code review
Nice to have:
- Experience integrating AI/Computer Vision models into applications
- Experience with embedded systems and IoT development (Raspberry Pi, Jetson, industrial edge devices)
- Familiarity with hardware integration, industrial communication protocols, and peripheral devices (camera, sensor, GPIO, serial communication)
- Experience with vision pipelines for manufacturing defect detection (surface defects, dimensional inspection, assembly/PBC/SMT verification).
- Experience working with Linux-based edge computing environments
- Good English communication skills
