NIE invites applications for an Executive position in the Policy, Curriculum and Leadership Academic Group (PCL AG). This is a 2-year contract post.
Responsibilities
General administrative functions include:
- Providing secretarial support to the AG Head and Deputy/Assistant Heads
- Assist AG Head in the areas of faculty searches and contract renewals
- Providing administrative support in the General Office in areas such as (but not limited to)
- preparation of pre and post meeting materials and agenda for team meetings taking minutes of meetings where necessary
- responding to phone and email requests for information within and outside of NIE
- maintenance and upkeeping of AG filing and cataloging systems executive work related to programme or course coordination
- IT services to faculty and AG, such as setting up online meetings
- Providing teaching support to faculty members in areas such as (but not limited to)
- preparation of rooms for teaching
- preparation of teaching materials (e.g. printing of course materials)
- administration of Student Feedback on Teaching
Requirements
- A Polytechnic Diploma.
- Preferably with minimum 1 year of relevant administrative experience in an education institution.
- Proficiency in MS Office as well as different communications platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Must have an eye for detail
- Ability to multitask, work independently and effectively in a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion on faculty matters.
- Service-oriented individual with a pleasant personality coupled with a positive learning attitude.
