Job Description – Key Account Manager (Smallbox Channel)
The Role
The Key Account Manager (Smallbox Channel) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Ho Chi Minh
City Metropolitan Area, responsible for managing and growing key accounts within the Smallbox
channel in the FMCG industry.
This role focuses on building strong, long-term partnerships with Smallbox customers, driving
sustainable sales growth, and delivering channel-specific strategies. The Key Account Manager
will lead business planning, analyze market and shopper insights, and work closely with internal
teams to ensure strong in-store execution and achievement of commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key Smallbox accounts, including
wholesalers, distributors, and key independent retailers.
• Build and execute channel-specific business plans to drive sales growth, distribution,
assortment, and visibility within the Smallbox channel.
• Analyze FMCG market dynamics, shopper behavior, and sales performance to identify
growth opportunities and optimize pricing, promotions, and product mix.
• Lead commercial negotiations with customers, including trade terms, promotions, and
joint business plans.
• Ensure excellence in execution at store level by working closely with field sales,
merchandising, and operations teams.
• Collaborate closely with Smallbox SKAM, Logistics, and cross-functional teams to ensure
product availability, service level achievement, POSM readiness, and successful campaign
execution.
• Manage trade plan, investment and promotion budgets effectively, monitor ROI, and
ensure all spending aligns with approved business objectives and customer agreements.
• Monitor account performance, track KPIs, and provide regular business reviews and
forecasts.
• Coordinate day-to-day customer service activities, promptly addressing issues and
ensuring high customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales &
Operation teams to deliver aligned commercial objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Strong Key Account Management experience, with proven ability to manage and grow
high-value customers.
• In-depth knowledge of Minimart operations and channel development
• Strong commercial planning background with analytical and strategic thinking
• High learning agility, collaborative approach, growth-oriented mindset, proactive,
ownership-driven attitude.
• Solid business planning and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into
actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing, Key Account or related
functions; experience in FMCG and Smallbox/Modern Trade is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
