About The Job
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about data and solving challenging problems for the business. This person will analyse large volumes of data across the organization. The role will involve data engineering (extraction, transform and loading of data), data analysis (querying, reporting and presentation) and modeling (statistics, machine learning). She/He must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods and creating production-ready data pipelines.
Responsibilities∙
- Analyzes complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to discover trends and patterns
- Provides actionable insight to decision-makers to influence strategy and performance
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of structured and unstructured data used for analysis
- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
- Control, maintain and improve high level of data quality
- Generates forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans to drive actions
- Provide consultation and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues
- Directly produces datasets and reports for analysis using databases and reporting tools
Requirements∙
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering required
- Strong problem solving skills
- Analytical mind and business acumen
- Hands on experience with following languages: Python (programming) and SQL (querying)
- Familiar with one or more below applications:
- Visualization : Tableau, Apache Superset
- ETL : Apache Airflow, Dataiku
- Cloud Computing: AWS S3, AWS Athena
- Database: Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB
- Container: Docker
- Version Control: Git
- Framework: Django
- Exposure to machine learning and neural network
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex findings and ideas in plain language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and drive success with limited resources in a matrix organization
