Job description for Customer Service Executive at ECMS Express (S) Pte Ltd

Job Description:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for clients, managing day-to-day communication and ensuring alignment with internal departments, airline partners, and global offices
  • Support shipment planning by arranging air bookings, confirming space with carriers, and advising on suitable flight options based on urgency and cargo requirements
  • Oversee end-to-end coordination of air import, export, and third-country (cross-trade) shipments to ensure seamless execution
  • Create JOB in Cargoware for cargo details, shipper requirements and request Planner to proceed booking with quotation email
  • Provide booking confirmation to customer or Sales once received Planner
  • Review and validate shipping documents (e.g. AWB / BLs) to ensure compliance with regulatory and airline requirements
  • Monitor shipment status of uplift, arrival and any irregularity
  • AR process and ensure receipt payment from customers within granted period
  • Others - Source prices or solutions for businesses do not transit via MY if any enquiry from Sales through WCA network

Job Requirement:

  • Minimum Diploma with 1–3 years of experience in customer service or logistics-related roles
  • Prior experience in the airfreight or freight forwarding industry is an advantage
  • Working knowledge of local and international freight services, as well as customs regulations and procedures
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in finding new customer.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively thinking and problem-solving abilities focus on driving results and delivering value
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with logistics management software is a plus
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients would be an advantage
