Role Description
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the high availability, scalability, and performance of enterprise Cloud Infrastructure, Virtualization Platforms, and core IT systems.
- Administer critical platform resources, including Compute, Storage, Network topologies, and Virtual Machines (VMs).
- Manage 24/7 incident response and proactive monitoring, analyzing system logs, diagnosing technical anomalies, and conducting thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to prevent recurring issues.
- Execute standard Change Requests (CRs), routine infrastructure maintenance, capacity expansions, and critical security patch updates.
- Develop and deploy infrastructure automation scripts and playbooks using Bash, Python, and Ansible to eliminate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Author and maintain technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), operational runbooks, Knowledge Base (KB) articles, and periodic operational reports.
Qualifications
Must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven hands-on experience in System Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or Cloud Operations.
- Solid proficiency in enterprise Linux environments (CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu Server).
- Strong foundational understanding of Cloud Computing paradigms, virtualization architectures, and modern Data Center operations.
- Working knowledge of core networking protocols and services: TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, Routing, Firewall configuration, and Load Balancing.
- Good command of technical English (reading and comprehending technical documentation, architecture designs, and logs).
Nice to have:
- Hands-on experience with virtualization, containerization, and orchestration platforms: OpenStack, VMware (ESXi/vCenter), Docker, Kubernetes (K8s).
- Working knowledge of enterprise storage architectures: Ceph, SAN, NAS, Object Storage.
- Experience with monitoring, metrics collection, and log analytics stacks: Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
- Professional certifications (or equivalent progress): RHCSA / RHCE, VCP, CKA, AWS Certified SysOps / Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Azure Administrator.
