Role Summary
Earth Venture Capital is hiring a Head of Marcom to lead our integrated marketing and communications strategy - shaping the Earth VC brand, strengthening our reputation, and turning our investment conviction into compelling narratives for founders, investors, partners, talent, and the broader ecosystem.
You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution: setting the narrative, directing the creative standard, building repeatable systems, and delivering campaigns that grow awareness, trust, and engagement.
Core Responsibilities
1) Brand Strategy & Creative Direction
- Own Earth VC's positioning, messaging, voice, and visual identity, ensuring a distinctive, contemporary brand across audiences and touchpoints.
- Translate investment strategy, research, and portfolio insights into compelling narratives, brand systems, guidelines, and templates.
- Set annual Marcom priorities, budget, campaign calendar, and KPIs; protect consistency and quality across every channel.
2) Content, Thought Leadership & Media
- Build the editorial agenda and lead high-quality content across investment perspectives, portfolio stories, reports, newsletters, speeches, and executive communications.
- Partner with the investment team and experts to make complex technical and market insights accessible, credible, and engaging.
- Lead media relations, announcements, spokesperson preparation, speaking opportunities, and issues and reputation management.
3) Digital Growth, Campaigns & Community
- Own the website, newsletter, social media, and email channels, continually improving user experience, content quality, and reach.
- Design integrated campaigns, events, partnerships, and community initiatives with clear objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Use audience insights and performance data to improve channel mix, engagement, conversion, and return on Marcom investment.
4) Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build and manage a high-performing Marcom function across internal team members, agencies, freelancers, and specialist partners.
- Work closely with General Partners, the investment team, operations, and portfolio companies to align priorities, timelines, and messaging.
- Create clear briefs, approval workflows, and reporting; provide selective portfolio support on positioning, launches, and major milestones.
Must-Have Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, brand, content, or public relations, including meaningful leadership responsibility.
- Exceptional English communication skills and a strong track record across brand strategy, editorial planning, media relations, digital channels, and integrated campaigns.
- Experience managing multiple priorities, budgets, agencies, and senior stakeholders, with data-informed judgment, integrity, and discretion.
