KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews to
ensure the team stays on track and adheres to Scrum processes.
• Provide ongoing guidance and coaching to team members on Scrum principles, practices,
and agile methodologies, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Ensure that the Scrum process is being followed, removing any impediments, and providing
support for the team’s adherence.
• Work closely with development teams and other stakeholders, especially the Japan-based
teams, to align product goals and deliverables.
• Help the Product Owner prioritize the product backlog and ensure that the team has a clear
understanding of requirements, goals, and scope.
• Provides timely technical solutions and communicates them clearly to the Product Owner to
support informed decision-making during meetings.
• Lead the team in sprint planning meetings, helping to define sprint goals, and ensuring
tasks are well defined and achievable within the sprint.
• Coordinate sprint releases, ensuring that all tasks are completed according to the agreed
timeline and aligned with the global product roadmap.
• Identify and address any roadblocks preventing the team from achieving sprint goals and
removing impediments that affect productivity.
• Provide status reports to the leadership team, including the Japan-based stakeholders,
highlighting sprint progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Monitors and enforces quality standards across the product lifecycle.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proficient communication and comprehension skills in English.
• Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in Scrum Master/ Project Manager in the software industry.
• Prior experience in the finance domain is a plus.
• Knowledge and practical experience as a Scrum Master are required, including facilitating
agile ceremonies, managing sprint planning, and supporting agile team productivity.
• Demonstrates strong knowledge of system design principles.
• Familiarity with software development languages, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple
projects concurrently using project management tools.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and
lead within cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and keen attention to detail.
• Good logical and analytical thinking skills.
