- Level: Middle - Senior
- Location: Tokyo, Japan (Onsite at the client's office in Yokohama during the first 3 months; prefer candidates currently based in Japan)
- Open for candidates currently based in Vietnam
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Act as the bridge between Japanese clients in the manufacturing industry and the project team; gather and analyze requirements, create and maintain project documentation.
- Work with the team to design, build, deploy and operate network/server infrastructure for factories (office network, production network OT/FA, servers, virtualization).
- Work with the team to build and deploy MES (Manufacturing Execution System), including integration with other factory systems (ERP, SCADA, PLC, production equipment).
- Directly communicate with clients using Japanese via online/onsite meetings, email, slack channels (or other chat tools) to meet the requirements; join factory surveys at client sites when needed.
- Translate and review technical documents (requirements, basic design, parameter sheets, test specifications, operation manuals) between Japanese and Vietnamese/English.
- Report the progress of work status as well as any difficulties to the clients daily and/or weekly.
- Actively voice out any ideas or solutions for the issues during the progress in order to enhance the quality and results of the project.
- Support Project Manager in managing members, tasks, and project timeline when needed.
- Support the quality assurance and acceptance testing activities to ensure that the final deliverables meet client expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have:
- Good at Japanese for 4 comprehension skills (Japanese skill at least N2 or equivalent; N1 is a plus), able to communicate fluently with clients in business settings.
- At least 3 years of experience as a BrSE or working on IT projects with Japanese clients.
- Experience working with a team to design, build, deploy and operate network/server infrastructure for factories, and/or to build, deploy, and operate MES systems. If not, experience in IT projects in the manufacturing domain in general is acceptable.
- Basic understanding of network (L2/L3, VLAN, Firewall), server (Windows Server/Linux, virtualization) and/or system development.
- Leadership potential, high responsibility, good teamwork spirit.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of factory operations and systems such as MES, ERP, SCADA, PLC, production management, quality control and traceability.
- Understanding about manufacturing practices (5S, Kaizen...).
- Prefer candidates currently living and working in Japan.
- Experience involved in medium to big projects.
- Able to write high-level design documents (basic design, external design), system integration.
- Good at English.
- Communication skills: Ability to listen, convey information clearly and coherently.
- Time management skills: Work efficiently under high pressure.
