We are looking for an Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from supplier payments, receipts from customer, variable expenses including staff claims and premises or other capital expenditure for our Batam Factory and Bali Office.
Accountant responsibilities include assisting in reviewing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Experience in Xero is a plus.
Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we’re compliant with all tax regulations.
Duration: Permanent contract with 3-month probation
Working Hours: Usually 9am – 6pm, with occasional meetings outside of hours on weekdays.
Place of work Canggu, Bali
· Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
· Assist with reviewing of expenses, etc. as assigned
· Manage all accounting transactions
· Assisting monthly, quarterly and annual closings
· Review accounts payable and receivable
· Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
· Assist Customer Services Department to execute refund and dispute transaction
· Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
· Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
· Comply with financial policies and regulations
· Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
· Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
· Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
· Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate
· Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
· Prepare monthly stock valuation report of all global stock on hand and components

• Work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like SAP, XERO, MYOB or other bookkeeping system
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables is a must
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Indonesian taxes.
• Experience helping with Indonesian Tax Returns.
• International Company experience helpful.
• Book-keeping / production of monthly trial balance and Management Accounts.
• Stock & Production accounting experience (Cost Accounting) useful.
• English skills / used to dealing with foreign executives.
