The role

At The Plan Z, an Account Manager is more than someone who runs projects — they are the person who sees the full picture. This role covers strategy, relationships, and day-to-day execution. You will lead a small team of Account Executives, guide them through projects across different formats — from branding and social to production and events — and make sure every piece of work goes out with The Plan Z's standard behind it.

What you’ll do

Client Relationship & Strategy

• Be the main point of contact for clients — build strong relationships based on trust, clear communication, and consistent results.

• Understand each client's business well enough to turn their goals into clear briefs and communication plans.

• Lead project kick-offs, manage expectations at every stage, and spot opportunities to grow the account.

Project Management & Operations

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of client projects — making sure all work meets deadlines, stays within budget, and is delivered to a high standard

Financial Management

• Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasting to ensure smooth financial operations and healthy profit margins.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with the Creative team to make sure all work meets the brief and is ready for the client.

• Keep feedback between both sides clear and moving forward, and help build case studies that show the best of The Plan Z's work.

Team Leadership & Development

A strong team is built through daily effort, not by chance.

• Lead, support, and motivate a team of 2–3 Account Executives — give clear direction, honest feedback, and real support when things get tough.

• Help them grow through day-to-day coaching and training, while making sure resources are well allocated to keep team performance and service delivery on track.

Performance & Reporting

• Monitor and track campaign KPIs to ensure optimal execution, with regular performance updates presented to both the team and clients.

Business Development & Market Insight

• Support the Director in pitching new clients, look for growth opportunities within existing accounts

• Keep up with market trends and competitor activity to give clients stronger recommendations and better ideas.

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years of experience in account or project management at a creative, branding, or marketing agency.

• Strategic yet hands-on: able to both plan and execute.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, fostering team collaboration and client trust.

• Able to communicate and present clearly in both English and Vietnamese.

• Experience managing or mentoring junior account team members.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven.

• Passion for creativity, storytelling, and brand culture.

• Comfortable working with Google Workspace and project management tools such as Asana.

• Thrives under pressure and enjoys dynamic, multi-project environments.
