JOB DETAILS:
1. Video Editing & Motion Graphics Execution – 45%
Create visually stunning motion graphics and animations for various digital media; create, edit and deliver video assets across social videos, performance video ads, cutdown sets (30s / 15s / 6s), KOL and UGC edits, event recaps and internal content.
Collaborate on video projects, including editing visual elements (graphics, text, music) and assisting senior editors and designers.
Design original motion graphics, illustrations and infographics that follow brand guidelines and platform specifications.
Own the post pipeline for assigned jobs: ingest footage, proxy setup, rough cut, fine cut, basic color and audio treatment, graphics and subtitles, export to correct platform specifications.
Edit for retention, not just for smoothness: build a strong 3-second hook, control pacing against the retention curve, and design for sound-off viewing (subtitles, kinetic text, visual clarity).
Run brand QA and technical QA pre-flight before every submission – codec, resolution, aspect ratio, safe zones, loudness, subtitle accuracy (target: technical QA pass rate of at least 95%).
2. AI-Powered Production – 25%
Use PMAX’s approved AI toolstack as a default part of the daily workflow: Premiere Pro AI (text-based editing, auto transcript and caption), After Effects AI features (rotoscoping, tracking), Runway / Veo / Kling for generative footage, ElevenLabs for voice, Topaz for upscale and restore, ChatGPT / Claude for scripting and ideation.
Build and iterate AI workflows for repetitive production tasks: auto-captioning across platforms, batch cutdown production, B-roll generation and shot extension, rotoscoping and cleanup, style exploration for motion concepts.
Contribute reusable prompts, presets and workflows back to the PMAX Prompt and Workflow Library so the whole team compounds.
Maintain a weekly AI usage log: tool used, use case, time saved, and whether the output was adopted or rejected. Contribute to the team target of at least 30% production time saved through AI leverage.
Apply AI responsibly: confidentiality-first (never upload client-confidential footage or data to public models), rights and licensing aware for footage, music and synthetic voice, and always human-in-the-loop – every AI output is reviewed, corrected and art-directed by you before it ships.
Keep learning: continuously benchmark new AI video and motion tools against the current pipeline and share findings with the team.
3. Time & Project Management – 20%
Own a personal weekly workplan across multiple parallel jobs; estimate production effort realistically per job type and get it approved by the Product Lead.
Apply timeboxing and prioritisation frameworks (Eisenhower, Pomodoro) and plan around render, export and review time – not just editing time.
Flag risks, blockers and missing assets early through the RAID log and escalation path – never let a deadline slip silently.
Maintain project structure, versioning discipline, naming conventions and archive hygiene so any editor or vendor can pick up the project file.
Support handover to and review of freelancer / vendor work when jobs are outsourced; meet SLA and deadlines on at least 95% of assigned deliverables.
4. Learning & Collaboration – 10%
Complete the 12-week Video Editor Trainee Program: pass Gate 1 (W4), Gate 2 (W8), Certification L1 (W9), Gate 3 and Final Presentation (W12).
Join the weekly edit review; give and receive feedback
Collaborate closely with Producer, Designer, Copywriter, Account/Pod and Product Leads across the production pipeline.
Co-create a Personal Development Plan with your mentor and drive your own transition from Trainee (L5) to Video Editor (L4).
Job Requirements
Skills & Knowledge & Qualification
Familiarity with After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of CapCut and mobile-first editing formats.
Basic design skills with an understanding of creative trends.
Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Cinematography or relevant field preferred, with a showreel demonstrating solid editing and motion fundamentals.
Solid understanding of pacing, rhythm, visual storytelling, basic color grading and audio treatment.
Understanding of platform specifications and delivery standards for TikTok, Meta, YouTube and owned channels (aspect ratio, codec, duration, safe zones, subtitle rules).
Basic understanding of digital marketing and performance video: what makes a viewer stop scrolling, and why an editing decision affects a business metric.
Good time management and teamwork skills.
Open to feedback and able to improve based on guidance.
Positive attitude and passion for motion graphics.
Ability to handle multiple projects while maintaining deadlines and quality.
Intermediate and upper-intermediate English (able to read briefs, prompt in English and follow global creative references).
AI Capability & Mindset (Must-have)
Hands-on experience with at least 2 AI tools applied to video or motion work (Premiere Pro / After Effects AI features, Runway, Veo, Kling, ElevenLabs, Topaz, Descript, CapCut AI, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Claude…). Personal projects and self-initiated experiments are fully accepted as evidence.
Prompt and workflow literacy: able to describe shot, motion, camera, lighting, style and duration in a generative prompt, and to chain tools into a repeatable pipeline rather than doing one-off manual passes.
AI-as-multiplier mindset: treats AI as leverage to remove repetitive production work (transcribing, captioning, cutdowns, rotoscoping, cleanup) so that human time goes into storytelling, pacing and craft judgment – never as a shortcut that replaces editing skill.
Critical evaluation: able to detect AI artifacts, temporal inconsistency, uncanny motion, audio sync issues and generic “AI look”; understands that the editor – not the model – owns final quality.
Ethics, IP and confidentiality awareness: understands rights and licensing risk for AI-generated footage, music and synthetic voice, and never uploads client-confidential material to public models.
Documentation habit: willing to log AI usage, measure time saved, and contribute workflows and presets to a shared library instead of keeping personal tricks private.
Learning velocity: actively follows the AI video and motion landscape and can pick up a new tool or model to a working level within days, not months.
Nice to have: automation and batch processing, plugin or script-based workflows, AI voice-over and dubbing pipelines, or experience building repeatable variant production systems.
PMAX-er Identification
Client Impact: Everything we do is ultimately to deliver real client impact and value.
Innovation: Innovation is to drive change and innovative new ideas to create more values for clients, teams and society.
People development: People development is to attract, develop, and retain the most talented people. Development is a responsibility, not a choice, of both the individual as well as the organization.
Integrity: Integrity is to be honest and show a consistent and uncompromising adherence to what is right, even if it is at our own cost.
Teamwork and fun: Teamwork and fun is the cooperative and collaborative effort of a team to achieve a common goal or to complete a task, and trying to build a joyful & enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.
Extreme ownership: Extreme Ownership is the practice of owning everything in your world, to an extreme degree. Think of yourself as the owner of the company. It means you are responsible for not just those tasks which you directly control, but for all those that affect whether or not your task is successful.
