KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for an experienced Manual Tester to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our games. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and collaborating with developers and designers to deliver polished, high-quality games for our players.:
1. Functional:
- Develop and execute test cases and test plans to identify gameplay, UI/UX, performance, and stability issues across multiple game projects.
- Perform Functional, Regression, Compatibility, Performance, and API testing for game features and backend services.
- Test and validate game APIs (authentication, player data, inventory, leaderboard, live-ops, etc.) using tools such as Postman or similar.
- Ensure product quality from early builds (alpha) to final release across iOS, Android, and web platforms.
- Track, log, and manage bugs using Jira/Confluence; collaborate closely with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Verify UI/UX consistency and ensure smooth player experience in casual, real-time, or multiplayer games.
- Support release testing, hotfix verification, and live-ops quality monitoring.
2. Organizational strategy:
- Uphold company core values, policies, and procedures; support the organization’s mission and vision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, design, and operations teams to maintain product quality.
- Analyze requirements from GDD/PRD and define appropriate test strategies.
- Participate in handling production incidents: reproduce issues, analyze logs, identify root causes, and support quick resolutions.
- Other tasks and responsibilities assigned to the Employee by the Company which may be adjusted from time to time.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related major.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in game testing or QA/QC, preferably with Cocos Creator, Unity, or other game engines.
- Solid understanding of the game development and QC lifecycle.
- Proficient in writing clear and comprehensive test cases and bug reports.
- Experienced in testing on iOS and Android native environments.
- Familiar with turn-based game mechanics and multiplayer interactive features.
- Skilled in optimizing and validating game assets, animations, and performance across devices.
- Knowledge of client-side security testing (anti-cheat, input validation, asset protection).
- Able to implement CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automated testing workflows.
