Key Responsibilities
- Receive pricing requests from Sales, Agents, and customers and provide accurate, timely, and competitive quotations across various trade lanes, with a strong focus on the US trade lane.
- Source and negotiate freight rates and space with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, agents, and other logistics partners.
- Monitor shipping lines’ online rates, market conditions, freight rate trends, space availability, and surcharges to keep pricing up to date and competitive.
- Prepare, update, and maintain buying and selling rate sheets, contracts, and pricing information.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, agents, and other logistics partners.
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to handle and resolve pricing-related issues.
- Prepare pricing reports and market updates for management when required.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience.
- Strong US Pricing experience preferred.
- Good command of English.
- Good knowledge of ocean freight, air freight and Freight Forwarding services.
- Experience in rate negotiation is an advantage.
- Good communication, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented.
