As part of our regional expansion plans, we are establishing an Offshore Development Centre (ODC) to support software engineering, cloud platform development, industrial integrations, enterprise dashboard systems, analytics platforms, and future AI-driven technology initiatives.

The ODC will serve as the offshore engineering execution centre supporting the Singapore headquarters in delivering scalable and production-grade technology solutions for commercial, industrial, healthcare, infrastructure, and smart facility applications.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Software Project Manager to lead the day-to-day software engineering execution for our Offshore Development Centre (ODC).

This role will be responsible for managing the offshore software engineering team, overseeing project execution, maintaining engineering quality, and ensuring successful delivery of software development initiatives while working closely with the Singapore management and solution architecture team.

The candidate is expected to play both technical and leadership roles, including team hiring, team management, code governance, and project coordination. The role requires strong ownership, leadership, and the ability to operate in a fast-moving agile engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Hiring & Team Building

• Support hiring and technical evaluation of software developers and QA engineers

• Participate in technical interviews and candidate assessments

• Build and grow the engineering team within the ODC

• Establish positive engineering culture and development practices

• Mentor and guide junior developers and team members

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage the offshore software engineering team

• Allocate engineering resources and manage workload planning

• Conduct daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and engineering coordination

• Monitor team performance and ensure delivery timelines are achieved

• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between frontend, backend, QA, and integration teams

Project Management

• Manage day-to-day software project execution

• Coordinate sprint planning, backlog tracking, and task prioritization

• Track project milestones, dependencies, and delivery risks

• Escalate technical blockers and project issues proactively

• Work closely with management, solution architects, and business stakeholders

• Support UAT preparation, deployment coordination, and production rollout activities

Technical Leadership

• Guide backend, frontend, and QA teams on implementation approaches

• Ensure alignment with system architecture and engineering standards

• Review technical implementation quality and coding practices

• Resolve technical blockers and cross-module integration issues

• Support deployment, troubleshooting, and system stabilization activities

Code Management & Governance

• Govern source code management and software development workflow processes

• Ensure proper Git branching, merge, and release management practices

• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards

• Ensure proper documentation and version control practices

• Coordinate release packaging and deployment readiness

Engineering Execution

• Coordinate backend, frontend, QA, and integration development activities

• Ensure timely completion of sprint deliverables

• Support testing, bug fixing, and production stabilization activities

• Maintain engineering quality, system stability, and operational readiness

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline

• Minimum 5 years of software development experience

• Prior experience leading software engineering teams or project delivery teams

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Experience managing software development lifecycle and sprint execution

• Familiarity with enterprise web applications, APIs, databases, and cloud systems

• Experience with source code management and Git workflows

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Experience working with distributed or offshore teams is an advantage
