About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven and highly connected Business Development Head to lead new business acquisition and expand Hepmil Vietnam’s growth pipeline across creative, marketing, influencer, social commerce, and integrated campaign opportunities.
This role is heavily focused on hunting new clients, opening new business verticals, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth rather than purely account servicing.
The ideal candidate is someone with strong ownership, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build relationships with decision makers including Marketing Directors, Brand Managers, Procurement teams, Founders, and C-level stakeholders.
You should be comfortable leading conversations, pitching ideas, handling negotiations, and identifying opportunities across multiple industries and service offerings.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Lead and drive new business acquisition efforts for Hepmil Vietnam across creative, influencer marketing, social commerce, content, and integrated marketing services.
- Hunt and develop new client opportunities through networking, outbound outreach, referrals, partnerships, and industry connections.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including CMOs, Marketing Directors, Procurement teams, Brand Managers, and senior decision makers.
- Identify potential business opportunities across industries including FMCG, Beauty, Lifestyle, Tech, Finance, E-commerce, and emerging brands.
- Expand Hepmil Vietnam’s client portfolio and unlock new revenue streams beyond existing business categories.
- Develop strategic approaches to penetrate new markets and verticals.
Client Partnership & Commercial Strategy
- Understand clients’ business objectives and propose suitable creative, influencer, social commerce, or integrated marketing solutions.
- Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, pitching processes, and proposal direction.
- Work closely with internal Strategy, Creative, Influencer, Account, and Production teams to shape compelling campaign proposals and solutions.
- Ensure smooth handover and collaboration during project execution while remaining involved in key client relationships.
- Support upselling and long-term partnership development with clients where applicable.
Market & Industry Development
- Stay updated on industry trends across creative marketing, digital culture, influencer ecosystems, content, and social commerce.
- Identify emerging opportunities, partnership models, and market movements that can contribute to business growth.
- Represent HCN Vietnam at networking events, industry gatherings, and client meetings to strengthen market presence and partnerships.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve business development strategies, sales approaches, and partnership models.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Mentor and support BD team members where required.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strong alignment between commercial goals and campaign execution.
- Drive a proactive, ownership-driven, and solution-oriented working culture.
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Business Development, Partnerships, Sales, or Commercial roles.
- Strong experience in agencies, creative agencies, influencer marketing, social commerce, digital marketing, media, SaaS, fintech, e-wallet, tech platforms, recruitment/headhunt, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in hunting new clients and generating business opportunities.
- Strong network with brands, agencies, decision makers, or business communities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently drive opportunities from prospecting to closing.
- Comfortable handling client-facing conversations and challenging stakeholders.
- Strategic, flexible, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience working with creative, marketing, branding, or integrated campaign environments is a strong advantage.
- Confident in pitching ideas and collaborating with creative/strategy teams.
- Fluent Vietnamese communication is required; English proficiency is highly preferred.
