JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure for enterprise data platforms.
- Manage and optimize cloud-based data services to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure platform reliability.
- Implement security, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance best practices.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and infrastructure costs.
- Develop technical documentation, automation scripts, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable data platform solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Networks, Information Systems, or a related field. Candidates graduating with a Good classification or above are preferred.
- Strong English communication skills.
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is required, or candidates must have hands-on experience deploying infrastructure on a cloud platform.
- Strong Linux administration skills, including proficiency with the command line, shell scripting for automation, log analysis, process management, and cron job scheduling without relying on graphical interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with Python or Bash scripting to automate operational tasks such as backups, health checks, alerting, and file processing. A GitHub portfolio demonstrating practical scripts is highly preferred.
- Experience deploying and operating at least one application or service on a cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including troubleshooting, scaling, or monitoring production or project environments.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines for personal or academic projects using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent tools to automate testing and/or deployment.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, with the ability to troubleshoot common connectivity issues such as firewall rules, incorrect ports, DNS resolution, and security group configurations.
- Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, with knowledge of Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Candidates should understand the value of infrastructure automation over manual deployments and have hands-on experience writing IaC configurations, even in lab or personal projects.
