Job Role
The Quality Manager (Food Manufacturing) is responsible for leading and overseeing all food quality assurance, food safety, and quality management activities across manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that production processes, finished products, and quality systems consistently comply with regulatory requirements, customer expectations, and internationally recognized food safety standards.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, the successful candidate will oversee quality control operations, maintain and continuously improve quality management systems, monitor compliance with food regulations across target markets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen operational excellence and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all food quality assurance and food safety activities throughout manufacturing operations.
- Ensure production processes consistently comply with internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety regulations.
- Research, interpret, and implement applicable food laws, regulations, standards, and compliance requirements for target export markets.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the company's food quality and food safety management systems.
- Supervise quality control activities across Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), Final Quality Control (FQC), and corrective action processes.
- Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, procurement, and other departments to improve manufacturing quality and operational efficiency.
- Analyze quality performance data, prepare reports, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support internal and external quality audits while ensuring ongoing compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other quality management responsibilities as assigned by management.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Food Safety, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in quality management within the food manufacturing or food and beverage industry.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management-level quality role is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, quality assurance systems, and food safety management principles.
- Hands-on experience managing Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC), Final Quality Control (FQC), quality issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience implementing and maintaining food safety management systems such as HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate data, identify quality risks, and implement practical solutions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Professional working proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in Vietnamese is highly preferred to support day-to-day communication within the local operations.
