Job description for Technical Writer at PT. Ebdesk Teknologi

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Technical Writer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will transform complex technical concepts into clear, well-structured, and user-friendly documentation. You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, AI Researchers, Product Managers, and Business teams to create high-quality documentation for internal and external users.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning new technologies, has excellent writing skills, and can simplify technical information without losing its accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Documentation
  • Develop, write, edit, and maintain technical documentation for software applications, AI products, robotic systems, APIs, and internal platforms.
  • Produce user manuals, installation guides, SOPs, knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and release notes.
  • Translate technical discussions into documentation that is easy for both technical and non-technical audiences to understand.
  • Ensure documentation remains accurate, organized, and up to date throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with Software Engineers, AI Researchers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and Business teams to gather technical information.
  • Participate in product discussions and requirement reviews to understand system functionality.
  • Interview subject matter experts (SMEs) to collect and validate technical content.
  • Coordinate documentation updates alongside product releases.

Documentation Management

  • Organize documentation repositories and maintain version control.
  • Establish documentation standards, templates, and writing guidelines.
  • Review existing documentation and continuously improve clarity, consistency, and usability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, English, or a related field.
  • Fresh graduates with strong portfolios are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • Ability to understand software systems and technical workflows.
  • Familiarity with software development concepts and SDLC.
  • Basic understanding of databases, APIs, cloud platforms, or AI technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Notion, Confluence, Markdown, or Git is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interviewing skills.
  • Critical thinking and analytical mindset.
  • Able to organize large amounts of information.
  • Self-driven with strong time management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience writing technical documentation, user manuals, SOPs, or system documentation.
  • Familiarity with UML, flowcharts, or process diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of AI or Software Engineering.
  • Experience using Figma, Draw.io, Miro, or Lucidchart is a plus.
