Job description for Tech Solutions Architect at NBS (nusantara beta studio)
Objective
Serve as a critical bridge between business and product needs and technical execution, and will be involved in every step of the pre-sales solutioning process by actively engaging with clients to understand their business objectives, pain points, and technical requirements, and exploring potential opportunities to provide relevant solutions and offerings to meet their needs. This role requires a strong blend of analytical problem-solving, technical architecture design, technical and product understanding, and customer-facing communication to deliver tailored and high-value solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions and requirement clarification workshops with clients. Design high-level technical solution architectures and product visualization that align with clients' capabilities and follow engineering standards and best practices.
- Translate complex business requirements into functional and technical documentation, while simplifying technical concepts into business-friendly language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Team to validate solution feasibility and effort estimation. Work alongside the Sales team to prepare technical solution proposals, scope documents, technical presentations, and support RFI/RFP/RFQ responses.
- Identify risks early, such as scope creep, technical limitations, and unrealistic timelines. Work closely with the Delivery and Project Management teams to ensure a smooth handover post-sales.
- Identify, curate, and document past project successes across product, business, and technology domains to build a robust knowledge base for future pre-sales initiatives.
- Act as the primary technical authority during pre-sales engagements. Provide accurate, comprehensive answers to define clear technical, business, and product scopes, actively mitigating risks and preventing future scope disputes.
- Translate technical expertise and project success into compelling external content. Develop blogs, research reports, and marketing collateral (including portfolio documents) to showcase NBS’s capabilities and market expertise.
Required Experience & Technical Skills
- Software Engineering, Product Development, Public Speaking, and Business.
- Experience working in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, Business Analyst, or Technical Consultant role, Senior Software Engineer, or Technical Leadership. A background in software development (former backend and full-stack software engineer is highly preferred).
- Familiarity with modern microservice/backend/web/mobile architecture, APIs, DevSecOps Automation, and cloud infrastructure. Must have the ability to read technical documentation and be able to design the system diagrams.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), modern software engineering, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong familiarity with both modern AI-assisted software engineering practices and classical machine learning methodologies for targeted, task-specific solutions.
- Experience in effort and technical complexity estimation and scope breakdown is a strong plus.
- Possessing understanding or specialized knowledge in a specific business industry (e.g., Finance, Healthcare, Retail) is a strong plus.
- Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Must be confident and assertive in stakeholder discussions, with proven experience handling client-facing discussions and technical workshops.
- Possess a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, paired with excellent documentation skills.
