Job description for Database Architect at Webook
- Understand the needs of the business and the business vision. Articulate technology vision/roadmap and how is it applicable to business
- Develop and maintain an architectural roadmap for data platform, data products, and data services plus ensuring alignment with the business and enterprise architecture strategies and standards
- Develop, present, and explain the value and vision of proposed data architectures and solutions to both business and IT stakeholders
- Accountable for the operations and management of data environments supporting all aspects of data infrastructure (both cloud and on-premise) through to the OS/Apps running on them by:
- Monitoring and maintaining production environments
- Responding to monitoring alerts
- Issue troubleshooting and diagnosis
- Managing and implementing all database/data infrastructure changes
- Supporting the production environments and associated infrastructure, including storage, virtual, physical, and cloud infrastructure.
Job must have requirement for Database Architect at Webook
- Min Diploma / Degree in Computer Science or relevant courses
- 5+ years experience in Enterprise Database Administration, Database Development/Engineering, or Data Architecture/Engineering.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline would be ideal
- Hands-on experience building, supporting, and optimizing relational database technologies such as MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL, - -- NoSQL, Graph DB, Hadoop, and Spark
- Strong SQL development background and experience in one or more scripting languages
- Experience working with Windows Server & Linux operating systems
- Experience in defining corporate-wide data strategy and data governance
- Extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing data models, integrating data from multiple sources, data flow design, and building data pipelines for data platform– data lake and data warehouse
- Familiar with one or more Architecture Framework (e.g. TOGAF etc.)
- Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and commitment
- Strong problem solver
