Job description for R&D Developer – Software Optimization & Tool Design at Sveindonesia
We’re hiring someone to engineer the invisible systems that shape how we create.
At SVEIN, we don’t just design buildings—we design the tools that help build them. We’re looking for a Research & Development Developer to optimize and evolve our internal creative tools—most critically, NEOS, our proprietary Blender-based workflow system.
This is a role for someone who sees software not just as code, but as a craft. You’ll maintain, develop, and rethink systems that power our design processes from the inside out—making them faster, lighter, and smarter.

You’re the one if you:
• Are passionate about creating systems, plugins, or add-ons that remove friction and multiply speed
• Have experience building or extending 3D software tools (esp. Blender, Houdini, or similar platforms)
• Understand how artists work—and design tools that feel intuitive, not intrusive
• Can document, iterate, and collaborate with non-technical teams
• Are excited to experiment with real-time engines like Unreal (as a bonus, not a requirement)

• Maintain and improve NEOS, our in-house creative toolkit
• Design smart workflows, automations, AI, and UI/UX enhancements that serve real production needs
• Collaborate with CGI and pipeline teams to translate pain points into features
• Lead internal experiments to test new technologies and integrations
