What you'll be doing
- Identifying, evaluating and selecting suppliers to meet the company's procurement needs
- Negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships to achieve the best possible terms and conditions
- Preparing and processing purchase orders, invoices and other procurement-related documentation
- Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and inventory levels
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate procurement requirements
- Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and implement cost-saving measures
- Ensuring compliance with the company's procurement policies and procedures
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the manufacturing or logistics industry
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems and inventory management systems
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good understanding of supply chain and logistics processes, as well as relevant regulations and industry standards
